Fidesz MEP Tamás Deutsch wins lawsuit against Péter Juhász on appeal

October 28, 2016

7-2Fidesz MEP Tamás Deutsch has won his lawsuit against anti-corruption crusader Péter Juhász on appeal.  The Együtt (Together) vice-president has been ordered to pay Deutsch HUF 500,000 (USD 1,800) for claiming in an interview that Deutsch continuously did drugs.

Presumably, this is in addition to paying Deutsch’s legal expenses.

The court ruled that testimony provided by one of the eye-witnesses called by Juhász was contradictory, referring to places that did not exist at the time of the alleged offense.
