Six Záhony border guards arrested on charges of bribery

Hungarian news site reports that six border guards have been arrested on suspicion of soliciting bribes from camion drivers seeking to cross into Hungary from Ukraine.

The border guards are being held in preventive custody for accepting bribes, according to the press officer of a Debrecen court. They were stationed at the Záhony crossing on the Hungary-Ukraine border.

According to Hungarian prosecutors, the guards routinely accepted bribes from drivers crossing the border.
